Looking for somewhere to eat on your next Joshua Tree trip? I put together a few of my fave spots in the area to grab dinner and drinks. These are my tried and true go-to spots that I go to on the reg. If you want more spots to check out head over to my Instagram and take a look at my “Joshua Tree” story highlight.

Red Dog Saloon

Tacos, margs, and queso — need I say more? One of my fave dinner spots in the desert is Red Dog Saloon in Pioneertown. It has an old-timey saloon feel, cozy seating, and a huuuuge outdoor space. Their tacos are amazing — I always order the chicken taco, chips and queso, and a lightening marg. Highly recommend! After dinner take a walk through Pioneertown for a fun stroll.

Giant Rock Meeting Room

For the best pizza in town head to Giant Rock Meeting Room. They have amazing wine, cocktails, and food, plus there’s live music on the patio most weekends. All of their pizzas are delish (trust me, I’ve had just about all of them!)

Diner 62

For amazing BBQ, coffee, and cute vibes this adorable diner feels like the wild-west version of your local 1950’s diner. The pink cow print booths are my fave! They have breakfast and coffee too in case you’re looking for a breakfast spot.

The Tiny Pony Tavern

This spot opened earlier this year in what was previously a Yucca Valley gun shop, and now is filled with velvet paintings of cats and horses, a wooden bar, and pool table. Talk about a switch up! This fun spot it perfect for getting dinner, or even just drinks and a game of pool. Plus there’s a photobooth if you want to document your night!

Pappy & Harriets

If you are in the mood for BBQ I’m sure you’re heard of Pappy & Harriet’s. It’s an old-school style saloon to grab BBQ and drinks in Pioneertown. Personally I love going to live shows there, so be sure to check out their lineup. Heads up this can get a bit touristy and the wait can be long, so you can always walk over to Red Dog Saloon down the road if the wait is too long.
