June Desert House To-Do List

We’re planning on spending a good amount of June working on the desert house, and I thought I’d talk about the current plans and what we’re trying to finish this month. It feels like we’re finally at the stage of fun projects whereas most of the past projects have been boring like painting the floor white, skim coating the walls, or putting together furniture. Now we’re getting to some fun (and cute!) tasks that I can’t wait to share.

Finish The Porch Tile Stencil

I finished painting the porch a fresh coat of white on my last trip to the house, and now the first project this month is going to be painting the stencil pattern. I’m super excited to see this one come to life! Here’s what it should look like when it’s done…

Paint A Bedroom Accent Wall

I’ve been wanting a pink accent wall behind the bed since the moment we got the house, and I’m hoping to make that happen this month. My plan for that space is to do a plaster/limewash-inspired textured pink with a few contrasting tones of pink for dimension. I’m totally experimenting with this project so I have no idea how it will turn out. Fingers crossed it looks good!

Finalize Our Kitchen Remodel Plan

We’ve been working on the kitchen redesign for months and this should be the final planning stage on that project. We’re just about set on our kitchen remodel design, but we’ve got to finalize the plans and take final measurements to make sure everything works out. Fingers crossed we are ready for the next steps of ordering everything by the end of the month.

Hopefully we can knock off these projects, and maybe a few more! Follow me on Instagram for daily updates.
