My January Skincare Routine

Hello January! I can’t believe 2019 is already here. It full-on winter in LA,  and my skin is not too happy about it. I have combination skin that leans on the dry side, and it tends to really dry out in the wintertime. I always have to add some extra moisture in this time of year, and wanted to share my January skincare routine and some of the products I’ve been obsessing over lately.

LANEIGE WATER  SLEEPING MASK

This is one everyone raves about, and it’s a lifesaver in the winter time. The Water Sleeping Mask moisturizes during your sleep, and you wake up feeling SO refreshed. My skin is always super soft after using this. I also saw they have it in lavender now, and that sounds like the most relaxing way to spend your nightly routine. Definitely the ideal solution to dry winter skin!

UFO OIL

Hello glowing skin. I can’t rave about the Sunday Riley UFO Oil enough. I’m really into this in the wintertime because it moisturizes and fights acne at the same time. When I have breakouts and use other acne products they tend to make my skin so dry and flaky that my skin won’t hold onto any foundation, so this is my main solution for that issue. Plus, every time I wake up after using this I’m like whaaat my face is poppin’. It gives my skin this amazing glow, and even when my skin is breaking out I feel like I could go out without makeup after using this. It’s magic stuff I’m telling you.

GLOSSIER MOISTURIZER

I love a good moisturizer, but I hate when they break the bank. Cue the Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich, it’s thick and SUPER moisturizing, but also on the affordable side at $35 a pop. Even though it’s pretty thick I’ve been using this morning and night because this dry winter weather is making me have to overcompensate with the extra thick stuff. 10/10 on this one!

MARIO BADESCU CUCUMBER TONIC MASK

Making is vital for me, and I tend to do it 1-2 times a week, but in the wintertime I’m always worried about drying out my skin when masking. I’ve been reaching for the Cucumber Tonic Mask mask on repeat this month. It’s one of my faves, and I always order more before it runs out so I’m never without it.

GLOSSIER ZIT STICK

Again, a product that targets acne without drying out my entire face. I like the Zit Stick because you can target a pimple right on the spot without getting any of your clear skin in contact with it. Between the UFO Oil and this my skin is able to fight the acne without drying out all over.

What are your fave winter skincare solutions? Let me know in the comments! xoxo Erika
