I thought it would be fun to do a little “My Home Wrapped”… kind of like Spotify Wrapped, but for my space. A snapshot of all the tiny moments, projects, rituals, and rhythms that made this year feel like home. Because why should Spotify have all the fun?

So here’s my year, told through my house…

Doing a “Home Wrapped” reminds me that a year is really just a mix of tiny decisions, cozy routines, small improvements, and memories made at home. This house held so much: paint fumes, Target runs, patio dinners, weekend resets, and plenty of cozy nights. Here’s to another year of messes, new paint colors, good coffee, and a home that changes right along with us. Cheers to more lattes, better storage, fewer laundry piles (please), and spaces that keep growing with us.

This year, I’m gravitating toward simple, natural pieces: faux garlands that actually look real, soft neutrals that fit seamlessly into my everyday decor, and those sweet little holiday accents that make you smile every time you walk by. Welcome to my little office oasis: a calm, neutral space that has become my favorite corner of the house. I wanted something minimal and grounding, a place where I could actually think and feel inspired instead of overwhelmed, and this setup has become exactly that.

The light oak desk is the star of the room: warm, simple, and so clean-lined. It brings in that natural warmth I’m always craving. Underneath, the checkered rug adds just enough pattern to keep things interesting without stealing the show. I love the little olive tree and how cute she is.

Spend a few hours walking around here and dreaming of these homes. A few highlights and favorites include: The Elms Mansion, Buckner Mansion (aka the American Horror Story: Coven house), and the Carroll-Crawford House.

Ride the St. Charles Streetcar – Operating since 1835, it’s the oldest continuously running streetcar in the world. Cruise past grand homes and get the ‘jazzy pass’ to hop on and off all day or week. Take it to the Garden District so you can hop off and wander through the stunning neighborhoods.

One of my favorite parts? The breakfast basket delivered each morning, filled with local pastries, mimosas and coffee. After breakfast, we rode bikes from the hotel and rode along the street by the beach, then relaxed by the fire pit in the evening with a cocktail in hand.

It’s the kind of place that feels like a true escape—quiet, peaceful, and perfectly in tune with the natural beauty around it. Whether you’re celebrating something special like we were or just craving a change of pace, Cambria is the sleepy kind of stay you won’t want to leave.
