Think pink with deep rust and ivory stripes, or forest green mixed with ivory stripes. I love how changing just one color or pattern can make the whole room feel completely different without actually changing much at all.

Right now I’m really in the mood to add some butter yellow into the mix, and maybe even a hot pink stripe situation for something a little more fun. Clearly, I can never just pick one bedding combo and stick with it. What do you think?

I’m forever drawn to earthy, desert-inspired colors when it comes to home decor. Sage greens, warm wood tones, dusty desert pinks, creamy neutrals, and those rusty sunset shades just always work together.

I love mixing all of those colors with lots of natural elements: olive trees, wood, linen, textured upholstery, ceramics, and anything that makes a space feel a little warmer and more lived-in. The muted green chair paired with dusty pink bedding might be my favorite combo right now, especially mixed with deeper browns and warm ivory.

Basically, if it looks like it belongs somewhere between the desert and a cozy little California bungalow, I’m into it. Here are a few earthy decor finds I’m loving lately for bringing a little more color, texture, and warmth into your space.

Doing a “Home Wrapped” reminds me that a year is really just a mix of tiny decisions, cozy routines, small improvements, and memories made at home. This house held so much: paint fumes, Target runs, patio dinners, weekend resets, and plenty of cozy nights. Here’s to another year of messes, new paint colors, good coffee, and a home that changes right along with us. Cheers to more lattes, better storage, fewer laundry piles (please), and spaces that keep growing with us.

Welcome to my little office oasis: a calm, neutral space that has become my favorite corner of the house. I wanted something minimal and grounding, a place where I could actually think and feel inspired instead of overwhelmed, and this setup has become exactly that.

The light oak desk is the star of the room: warm, simple, and so clean-lined. It brings in that natural warmth I’m always craving. Underneath, the checkered rug adds just enough pattern to keep things interesting without stealing the show. I love the little olive tree and how cute she is.

Wander the Garden District mansions – Home to 19th-century Greek Revival and Victorian mansions, this neighborhood offers a glimpse into old-money New Orleans, framed by moss-draped oaks and ornate wrought iron. Spend a few hours walking around here and dreaming of these homes. A few highlights and favorites include: The Elms Mansion, Buckner Mansion (aka the American Horror Story: Coven house), and the Carroll-Crawford House.

Ride the St. Charles Streetcar – Operating since 1835, it’s the oldest continuously running streetcar in the world. Cruise past grand homes and get the ‘jazzy pass’ to hop on and off all day or week. Take it to the Garden District so you can hop off and wander through the stunning neighborhoods.
