Visiting the Desert Garden at The Huntington Library

I’m forever on the hunt for a pretty garden, and I finally crossed off this dreamy desert oasis off my list. The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens are a dreamy plant lovers oasis in San Marino, just on the edge of LA and Pasadena. Fair warning that the entire place is massive with a Japanese garden, rose gardens, lily ponds, and so much more that Joe and I barely even crossed off a few of the gardens on our first trip. I’ll share more about the whole place in the coming weeks, but I had to share my all-time favorite garden first — the desert garden.

As soon as you enter the gardens take a left to head straight to the desert garden. Then you’re met with pathways that head in all sorts of directions like a maze of endless cactus. There are so many magical desert plants I felt like I was in a dreamworld, and didn’t want to stop exploring. I saw some of the biggest Joshua Trees I’ve ever seen! I could honestly walk these gardens forever.

Hope you enjoyed my highlights from the desert garden! If you want to visit, book your reservation here.
