5 Ways to Update Your Living Room This Summer
You know I love updating my living room with the seasons, so when I discovered the new Jungalow collection with Opalhouse at Target I had to snag all of the pieces I could! There are so many adorable accents in the collection — vases, throw pillows, wall hangings. I love the clay-colored tones and rattan details in this collection. There are so many cute pieces. I wanted to share a few of my favorite tips for updating your living room for the season, along with my picks from the collection.
5 Ways to Update Your Living Room This Summer
1. Add Unique Vases
You can’t get enough vases, am I right? I’m forever adding new vases to my collection, and the vases in this collection are seriously to die for. The texture on these terracotta vases, ahhh! I had to snag the striped terracotta pink vase, along with the matching planter pot. The pink stripes are making me swoon! They’re such a cute way to transform your tabletop and add a pop of color.
2. Swap Out Throw Pillows
The easiest way ever to give your space a refresh is with throw pillows. Swap them out with the season, or your mood and they’re a surefire way to give your space a whole new look. I refreshed my living room with this geometric cutie lumbar pillow — the colors are so dreamy.
3. Mix In Some Plants
Plants are the easiest way to add some texture and color to your space. A little greenery goes a long way, and there are so many different types you can add. A few of my favorite interior plants: banana leaf plants, fiddle leaf figs, and rubber tree plants are great for larger pots, while pothos, calathea, and zz plants are great for smaller pots. I’d love a little calathea plant in this rattan basket.
4. Add Texture With Throw Blankets
The number 1 way to make your living room cozy is with textured throw blankets. They’re such a quick way to add some texture and color, and they’re super convenient when you want to snuggle up on the couch at night.
5. Update Wall Decor
Go for a textured wall hanging, or even a piece of art to fill in the space with something unique. I went with this cute macrame wall hanging. It only took a few minutes to hang, and I love the texture it adds to the space!
