What I’m Streaming This Month

I’m seeing lots of new shows and movies coming out lately, and I thought I’d round up a few new things to watch this fall since we’re all spending more time at home. There are so many movies that are heading straight to streaming this year, so there are lots of cinematic gems coming out that you can watch from home.

What I’m Streaming This Month

+ Lovecraft Country (HBO Max): I’ve been obsessed with this show since it came out. There are a million twists and turns, and it really keeps you on your toes. It’s a mix of horror, culture, race, history and sci-fi and a must-watch! There are so many references to historical racial tensions and learn more with every episode. P.S. Jordan Peele is a producer so you know it’s good.

+ PEN15 (Hulu): Erhmagerd I loved season 1 of this show so much! This show is the ultimate cringey middle school throwback and it’s all too real and familar and hilarious. If you haven’t watched season 1 yet, get on it!

+ Ratched (Netflix): I love me some Ryan Murphy, and this show is about the 1962 novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. It looks so intense!

+ The Vow (HBO Max): Wow, this one is mind blowing. Have you heard about the cult that recently was in the news for BRANDING their members? It gets even crazier than that, and there are so many details of everything going on in this cult that are recorded it shocks me every episode.

+ The Devil Will Come (Netflix): This film looks so crazy. All I know so far is it’s set in post-war era backwoods where an unholy preacher, twisted couple, and crooked sheriffs lives converge. Can’t wait to watch it.

+ Teenage Bounty Hunters (Netflix): An instant binge. It’s a funny story of two teenage girls who wreck their dads car, and then become bounty hunters to pay for the damage.

+ The Lost Okoroshi (Netflix): Super surrealist and fascinating. Haunted by dreams of an ancestral Okoroshi masquerade, a security guard wakes up transformed into a purple spirit. A trippy cool film!

+ i’m thinking of ending things (Netflix): In this movie a girl travels with her new boyfriend to his parents’ secluded farm and shit gets crazy. I love me some Jesse Plemmons and Toni Colette–this looks intriguing.
