Where To Say in LA: Silver Lake Pool & Inn
LA’s East side has been seriously lacking in the cool hotel department. If you’re not staying in Downtown, there’s not a whole lot of options. I was so excited when the Silver Lake Pool & Inn opened last year! It’s dreamy, has a great restaurant and bar called Marco Polo, and the most gorgeous pool. I’ll for sure be getting drinks here this summer.
Five Things to Do In The Neighborhood
Get coffee: There are so many amazing coffee options in walking distance. A few favorites: Dinosaur Coffee, La Colombe, Intelligentsia, and Roo Silver Lake.
Happy hour at Sawyer: Just down Sunset Boulevard you can grab one of my favorite happy hours at Sawyer everyday from 4-7. $6 glasses of wine? Yes, please!
Walk + shop around: Indulge your senses in the scents of Aesop, browse A.P.C., The Odells, and Yolk. There is so much good boutique shopping you won’t want to miss.
Grab a swanky dinner + drinks at Cafe Stella: Whether you want to grab a quick drink at the lounge section of Cafe Stella, or get a delish French dinner, I’m always in the mood for Cafe Stella. The perfect place to eat, and then walk through the neighborhood back to your hotel.
Head to LA’s longest running tiki bar: Tiki Ti is a must-visit. It’s tiny, still run by the original family that started it in 1961, and a great place to grab a tropical night cap. Bring cash!
