DIY Floral Wall

Hello flower wall! I’ve been getting lots of questions about the floral wall I did, so I figured I’d do a little DIY for ya so you can make your own. It’s such a fun way to add a little something different to a space. Honestly, it’s surprisingly easy! Here’s a quick guide to how I did it.

1. Choose your color palette. First things first, pick what colors you want to use. Since my bedroom is super pink, I went with a peachy pink theme and some white flowers for a neutral. Picking about 2-3 colors is ideal so that you can keep it consistent.

2. Plan out your design. How do you want it to look? I wanted to go around the mirror in the corner of our bedroom, so I built the flowers around the it and built up and to the corner. Plan out the design so you know how many flowers you’ll need! I used about 40-50 in total.

3. Buy the flowers. I used artificial flowers from Afloral so that it could last a bit longer, but real flowers would work too. Either way, make sure you choose lightweight flowers so that they can be held on the wall. If they’re too heavy they will fall down. I learned that the hard way, so plan ahead and make sure you choose smaller/lighter flowers before you buy.

4. Tape them up! Lay out your flowers, and start taping them to the wall. I used a mix of packing tape and wall-safe tape. Be forewarned, it can take a lot of tape. I used quite a bit to keep them up and taped in multiple places on each flower so that it would stay.

There you have it! Super simple and fun DIY. It only took me about 30 minutes to get the whole wall done. Can’t wait to see what you create! xoxo Erika
